Sri Sankara Vidyalaya (run by Sri Sankara Education Society, Durg) is situated in the heart of Bhilai township in Sector X. Founded in 1987 by His Holiness Jagadguru Sankaracharya Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamingal of Kancheepuram. Spread over 196500 Sq.Mtrs., the school radiates a warm ambience congenial for stress free learning of which 65146Sq.Mtrs. covers class rooms, labs etc. and 1989 Sq.Mtrs. playground. The school is affiliated with CBSE, Delhi since 1992.

The gates of the school lead to the temple of Sri Adi Sankara surrounded by a beautiful garden. The whole atmosphere radiates a positive energy making one feel charged to take up the challenges lying ahead.
