      These classes will be as per CBSE Guidelines. For the purpose of the examination the whole syllabus is split into two parts. The syllabus of any particular term will not be re-assessed as per CBSE instructions. Promotion to the next class for all classes (VI to VIII) is based on the whole\u00a0year\u2019s performance i.e. progress achieved during the two terms as per the following weightage i.e.\u00a01st Term 50% and 2nd Term 50% in each term, 80% weightage is given to the terminal score and\u00a020% to internal assessment. A minimum of grade D in each subject is required for the promotion to\u00a0the next higher class.\u00a0Also, in order to be declared \u201cPass\u201d at the end of the session for promotion to the next higher class, a\u00a0student must secure at least 33% marks in each subject studied by him \/her during the session.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      The promotion to the next higher class is also subject to the condition that a minimum of 25% of marks\u00a0must be scored in Mid Term Examinations plus Annual Examination.\u00a0In order to be declared \u201cPass\u201d\u00a0in Re-Examination, a student will have to secure at least 25% marks in the subject(s) in which\u00a0he\/she has taken the Re-Examination. If a student does not secure at least 25% marks in the\u00a0subject(s) in which he\/she has taken the Re-Examination and a minimum of 33 out of 100 marks in\u00a0that subject(s) or does not appear in the Re-Examination, he\/she will be placed in the category of\u00a0\u201cEssential Repeat\u201d. The student in this case will be held back in the same class during the next\u00a0session.<\/span><\/p>\n

      The whole year\u2019s syllabus will be assessed in the Annual \/ Pre-Board Examination. A minimum\u00a0score of 33% marks is mandatory in all the subjects without practicals. In subjects with practicals,\u00a0an independent score of 33% in theory & 33% in practicals is a must to pass in the subject.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      N.B.:<\/strong>\u00a0It will be desirable for a student of class X\/XII to qualify the Pre-Board Examination with minimum\u00a0score of 33% marks in each subject.<\/p>\n
