School Layout
One of the leading institutions of the region, Sri Sankara Vidyalaya, Sector – X, is situated in the heart of Bhilai City, the education hub of Chhattisgarh. It is spaciously spread over an area of 196,500 sq. m. The classrooms are large and airy, making them comfortable for the students. A temple of Jagatguru Adi Sankara stands at the entrance. A beautiful garden further enhances the ambience of the school. Guarded parking facilities are also provided outside the main gate. The school has a strength of about 4,000 students, guided by a team of qualified and experienced faculty members. The school also provides all amenities, including well-maintained drinking water points. A neat and clean environment is maintained throughout.
Smart Classroom
Seeing is believing. The smart class facility is provided in the school to enable visually aided learning. Students learn faster, and their understanding and comprehension are enhanced when taught through this method. The students of Balvatika and the Primary Wing develop a love for learning as they joyfully explore poems and stories through this engaging method. Laboratories

Our well-equipped Science Laboratories; Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, provide students with the perfect environment to explore, experiment, and understand complex concepts through real-world applications. The Mathematics Lab is designed to make abstract theories tangible, enabling students to learn through models, activities, and interactive tools. Art Performing Stage
Co-curricular activities are yet another area where the school excels. Well-qualified faculty members train students in music, dance, drawing, and crafts. Our children have participated in various competitions and won prizes. The talents of our budding artists are showcased through cultural fiestas on Annual Day, Sports Day, and other occasions. The school also provides a platform for children to express their talents through extempore, debates, quiz competitions, etc.
Sports Facilities
As the school believes in the overall development of students, we give utmost importance to sports and physical activities. It is fair to say that Sri Sankara Vidyalaya has some of the best state-of-the-art sports facilities. Major focus is given to karate, football, basketball, cricket, and table tennis. We have many players who participate at the international, national, state, and regional levels and have won accolades at the state and national arenas. We have a vast playground, basketball court, football ground, T.T. room, and a full-fledged sports room with a complete gym. Experienced and well-qualified instructors provide training.
Infirmary
The school has a well-equipped medical room where first aid is immediately provided to those who are unwell. It has all necessary facilities along with paramedical staff. Any emergency is well taken care of.
Knowledge Centre / Library
The school boasts a large library with about 35,000 books for general reading, reference, and more. The knowledge centre provides students with all kinds of books, including encyclopedias, to nurture their minds. The library has a nearly complete collection of the latest editions of books necessary for various classes. It also provides a spacious reading hall where students spend extra time for reference and study.
Transport Facilities
The school’s transport facility caters to around 2,000 children. We have 20 buses covering the length and breadth of the city and nearby areas. The transport staff is trained and well-equipped to safely commute the children to and from school. All the buses are equipped with safety measures and have a lady attendant to take care of the children.
