Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act
At Sri Sankara Vidyalaya, Sector X, Bhilai, the safety and well-being of our students are of utmost importance. In line with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, our school has established a vigilant and proactive POCSO Committee dedicated to safeguarding the rights and dignity of every child on our campus.
The committee is responsible for creating awareness among students, staff, and parents about child protection laws and reporting mechanisms. It ensures that a safe, supportive, and confidential environment is maintained where children feel secure and are encouraged to speak up without fear. Regular workshops, sensitization programs, and training sessions are conducted to foster a culture of vigilance and empathy.
Our POCSO Committee remains active and responsive, handling any concerns with seriousness, confidentiality, and compassion. We are committed to upholding a zero-tolerance policy against any form of abuse or misconduct, ensuring a safe and nurturing space for every learner.

Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) at the Workplace
In compliance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH), Sri Sankara Vidyalaya, Sector X, Bhilai, has constituted a dedicated and functioning Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to address and prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
The committee remains active, vigilant, and committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all teaching and non-teaching staff. Through awareness drives, policy dissemination, and periodic training sessions, the school ensures that every member of the staff community is aware of their rights and responsibilities under the POSH Act.
We believe that a positive workplace culture begins with mutual respect and accountability. Our POSH committee follows a fair and confidential process in dealing with grievances, reinforcing our school’s ethos of dignity, integrity, and professional conduct.
